While waiting...

Last Friday waiting for Mr Yong at the bus stop near his workplace.. hmmmm i think I waited for half an hour. Then my stomach is calling me heehee luckily I have a small box of snacks which my mgr bought for us in Shanghai. Very nice but abit salty, inside there are abt 11sticks..

Abt waiting for another 10min, he had came. Then we headed to Parkway to buy my swimming suit and goggles. Really never swim for many years and now realised there are many different kinds of 2 pcs swimming suit. In my mind, I thought 2pcs are those bikinis kind Hahaha I very old fashioned hor. But I chose a 2 pcs that looked like aerobics one LOL! But not cheap... cost abt S$80+ and the goggles is S$30+.

Then we headed for makan. I picked the Sakae Teppanyaki. But I still think the bugis outlet is nicer!!

Photo Taking Time

After the ceremony, Mr Yong went to take his prof camera from his car and we started taking photos!! He mentioned that the photos not taken much.. But I told him I find the photos quite a numbers liao. But only the four of us photo (group photo) only 2 pcs...

Finally!!!

Heehee ... the convocation is on last last Sunday, 13-Jul. Until now then I posted, too busy these past 2 weeks. No time to post.

Seating time for graduates and guests commences one hour prior to the official start time of each ceremony. To ensure that the ceremony will start on time, all graduates must be seated inside the UCC Auditorium at 9.40am

So we supposed to leave the house after breakfast. Due to I overslept and we left the house around 8:35am. Then we reached the UCC Hall's car park at 9am and we are so blur.. Keep forgetting to take this and that as we left our bags in the car. No intention to bring up so many things. When we reached the UCC Hall, we heard the announcement that the Robing room will be closed in 20min time and got to rush over quickly and it was crowded inside hence got to wait for a while before we can go into and change. After changing, my mum and sister have entered the auditorium and can't take photos with them first. So I took with Mr Yong with his and my hp camera.

After 9:40am, we went in to be seated and abt 10am sharp, the ceremony started with the national Anthem. Heehee... can't remember waited for how long then it was our faculty turn. Then we have our Attendance Card ready and proceed towards presentation on stage. The Attendance Card handed to the marshal on duty just before I proceed on stage. It contain a barcode which is swiped and my details will appear on-screen for reading out by the ceremony officical, just as I walked up the stage to be presented to the Presiding Officer. After that, I picked up my degree scroll and transcript en route back to my seat.

I still can remember that when the last graduate on stage, everyone clapped loudly and with joy! Heehee so funny.. I think the last graduate must be shock!

The ceremony is ended with the national anthem and the next few min the balloons dropped from the ceiling.

After leaving the auditorium, it's Photo Taking Time!! LOL!

What graduates should do during the ceremony

After you have finished putting on your academic dress, please proceed to the Auditorium. All graduates should be seated at least 20 minutes before the ceremony start time. At the entrance, the ushers will check your Attendance Card and show you to the seat. The seat number is indicated on the Attendance Card.

The Graduate Attendance Card is required for the Ceremony Official to read out your name (and prizes, if any) when you are presented on stage. Thus, please hold the Attendance Card in your hand or put it inside the pocket of your academic dress. If you have forgotton to bring the Attendance Card, please report to the ushers at the entrance of the Auditorium for a replacement.

When the ceremony begins, please stand up to welcome the academic procession. Please continue to stand when the National Anthem is played. You may sit down after the Presiding Officer has declared the ceremony open.

When it is time for your graduating cohort to be presented on stage, the ushers will lead you up the stage. Please remember to hold the Attendance Card in your hand and give it to the student helpers manning the barcode reader. As the names of the graduates will be read out in the sequence that the Attendance Cards are scanned, please do not change position with your fellow graduates after you have given the Attendance Card to the student helpers.

There are two red lines on the stage. You should wait at the 2nd line and move to the 1st line when the graduate standing in the 1st line has walked out to the centre of the stage. When your name is called, walk to the Presiding Officer at the centre of the stage. Shake hands with the Presiding Officer and receive the degree scroll from him. Muslim graduates who do not want to shake hands should hold a copy of the Commencement Book in their hand.

Towards the end of the ceremony, the valedictorian will deliver a speech. The National Anthem will be played and the academic procession sitting on the stage will first leave the Hall. Please follow the instructions of the ushers to leave after the academic procession. The original degree scroll will be given at the ceremony. Please take care of the degree scroll as it is irreplaceable.
